Every piece starts as a conversation at the bench.

Engagement rings, wedding bands and family jewellery made new again. We draw it, cast it and set it right here, in Saint-Roch.

How a commission works

Five steps, from the first sketch to the day you take it home. You see the piece progress at each one, and the price is settled before any work begins.

  1. A visit to the workshop

Forty-five minutes to talk through what you have in mind, the budget and the timeline. Free, with nothing to sign.

  2. Sketch and quote

Two or three hand-drawn proposals, with the metals and stones spelled out. Once you pick a sketch, the price is fixed.

  3. Wax model

You try the piece in wax before a single ounce of gold is cast. This is the moment to adjust the shape or the size.

  4. Casting and setting

Melting the metal, shaping it, then setting the stones by hand. You get photos at every stage.

  5. Finishing and handover

Polishing, stone certificates and engraving if you want one. A cleaning and a prong check are on us every year.

Recent pieces

Every piece is one of a kind, but these give a good sense of what's possible.

The workshop

Camille Brunissoir learned the trade at the École de joaillerie de Montréal, then spent twelve years at other jewellers' benches before opening her own in 2011.

The workshop is small on purpose: about a dozen custom commissions a year, which leaves time to do the work properly and to answer the phone in person.

The metals come from Canadian refineries and the stones from brokers who can name the mine. When a stone has a murky history, we don't work with it.

We showed up with my grandmother's ring and a vague idea. We left with something my partner wears every single day.
